Misinformation does not travel in Venice
To ensure that safe information is disseminated and available to all, we have created a page dedicated to debunking the main myths circulating on the net.
Venice closes to the public.
Venice does not close its doors to tourists, it has always welcomed everyone. The Municipality of Venice has adopted a safe and balanced method of access distribution, designed for the well-being of the city and its citizens.
Access to Venice will be through turnstiles.
In Venice, it will always be possible to stroll freely through the city's calli. Verification checks will be carried out without the aid of turnstiles but by the staff in charge.
Checks will only be carried out on exempt and excluded persons.
Booking checks will be carried out by the appointed communication authorities. Both exempt persons and those subject to payment of the CdA (Access Fee) may be required to show the booking code in case of control.
